Detailing and Sanitization in Transportation

As summer comes to a close, fall and winter sit on the seasonal horizon. Many look forward to the heat fading as we’ve experienced a summer that has been warmer than usual. With fall and winter, comes cold and flu season. The Covid-19 pandemic shook our world and brought a new awareness to how we all have to do our part in protecting the health of family, friends, neighbors and ourselves. Detailing and sanitization in transportation remain crucial to the well-being of our community. At WebbTrans, we prioritize cleanliness and safety when preparing our vehicles for the services that we provide. DAILY CLEANING

We wash and clean our vehicles every day. This includes a full exterior wash with microfiber and shammy finish, interior vacuuming, window washing, interior wipe down, and more. We use vinegar-based products for glass cleaning, as well as soaps and waxes from Adams. In between rides, our drivers sanitize the vehicle’s interior and any commonly used exterior surfaces.

EVERY TEN DAYS

Every ten days, we sanitize the interior and airflow ducts with a product from BioProtect, a hospital grade disinfectant. This product disperses as a mist. To deploy the mist, we first turn on the car’s air conditioning and ventilation system. Once that is running, we leave one window open just wide enough to insert the spray nozzle component. As we spray into the car, the air conditioning fan will draw the mist into the plenum chamber of the car. Then, the disinfectant disperses through the remainder of the car’s duct system and interior of the car. This is about a 20-minute process. We complete this process every ten days, though BioProtect touts a 30-day protection period.

FULL DETAILING

Full interior and exterior detailing happens every three to five weeks, depending on vehicle usage. Interior detailing focuses on rejuvenating the interior cabin to provide a clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment. The process includes vacuuming, steam cleaning, and using specialized cleaners to remove dust, dirt, and stains from surfaces such as seats, carpets, dashboard, and door panels. Leather surfaces are often conditioned to prevent cracking and maintain their suppleness. Attention is also given to small details like vents, buttons, and crevices, ensuring a thorough and meticulous cleaning throughout the interior!
